Unfortunately through the grapevine at active... from what i hear irvine and tustin will be closing down. They havent made any official announcements about that but there is talk about those 2 shops closing.

Being a long time active customer and employee i am bummed that irvine might be shutting down. Irvine is one of the most legit shops. if you have ever met the manager brandon hes fucking legit. active has employed fellow irvine-suckers like ruoff, spencer, and has sponsored many of irvine's locals like figs, skatin' steve, sunshine, TP and shit load of people we know.
I felt compelled to give my opinion about active from an insiders point of view and also from the point of view of someone who supports irvine-sucks and ultimately someone who supports skating.

First off i dont think active could have forseen a "recession" of such magnitude. Most businesses and most people didn't anticipate such a sudden drop in the economy. So i dont believe they thought they were "invincible" or "recession proof." Besides alcohol, tobacco, and basic public works like water and power... no business assumes they are recession proof. There is no doubt that active opened up too many shops too quickly in a small proximity. Agree to disagree but thats what i think.

Last note... i think some of you new generation irvine-suckers are hypocrites. so many of you are at active all the time and buy from active all the time. if you think active is ruining skateboarding... dont support them. I have nothing against hating on active but then when i see you rocking an active deck, active pants, active socks, active hats, hanging out in active, wearing nike shoes, or show up to the events to skate or help out... or worst of all trying to get sponsored by active... then you are NOT a hater. you're a pseudo-hater. for those who apply... you know who you are...

Bunch of kids just moved from Oklahoma and they fucking rip. i think their blogspot is worth a check.

So I just checked out that Skate and Create transworld put on a few months ago. Pree sweet. A little over the top at times, but overall a pretty good idea. I honestly wouldn't know who to pick, but DVS won it in the end. One thing I do know is that Jake Duncombe deserved MPV for globe. Daewon doesn't count.

This is just straight up funny no matter which way you look at it.

well if you want to hear a reason why active sucks ill give you one, they are having a competition at Harvard skate park on the 6th of march called kings of Harvard and they are charging 10 dollars to enter. I have never entered a competition or know much about them but charging money to enter doesn't sound right.I also just put out a little throwaway montage if anyone cares to watch. Yo. Heres a lil teaser thingy i made for the vid me and B Tran the man are working on. Gonzo hitting hit head still makes me laugh every time. B Hump eating cheeseburgers is always good footy. Actually, Brian Tran eating cheeseburgers is always good footy too.

I never wrote one of these befoer but im attempting to spice that 4th box up a bit. Im going to take this oppurtunity to tell everyone some stupid shit we saw last weekend. Me, Brad and some buddies went to that bank spot under the bridge in Laguna by that one skatepark that costs 100 bucks to get in. Kyle Leeper and Richard Angelides were there with some australian transworld photographer and the quicksilver photographer. After Brad was a douche to the TWS photog and weirded him out, we saw the quicksilver photographer having Kyle Leeper pose doing handstands and taking a bunch of pictures of it. it was kinda lame. what was lamer was as we were walkin up the hill leavin the spot, kyle leeper and that photog were chillin up there by the street, and when a bus came to the stop right there, the photographer had kyle leeper jump on the bus and then act like he was getting off, and snapped photos of this intensely the whole time. It was pretty ridiculous, and embarrassing at the same time. This does not surprize me though, as to how retarted those quicksilver ads are.

In Irvine related news, it seems that the IPD now check on the sucks to scope the sweet posts and awesome vids. When stopping us to tell us to wear helmets, an officer told us that he was surprized we werent wearing irvine-sucks.com t shirts. sketchy. Mariners park gave out all the free soda you could drink the other day, increasing that parks legitimacy exponentially.

The equipment facility at my school lets me check out super 8 cameras now, so i tried it out and i realized that these cameras are too money. Heres a little thing i put together when i was testing them out called THE TREASURE BOX. Last month, a shitlhoad of bdays of homies went down, so heres some pictures of some bdays i took in SF and Irvine en LA LOVE JUG. I’m really looking forward to winter break considering that John Choi is comin back from the Big Apple and I’m going to Europe for a week. karkool out of summer school here. I haven’t posted for close to a month now, and i apologize for that. Summer school, clubbin’, and weird oakland partos have distracted me from filming and skating. but now since i’m out of school and my camera’s fixed, i can get some shit done. First of all, I promised peeps I would show some pics from the friend section premiere, and i lagged of course, but here they are now.. in the loVE JUg! funny times for sures. Gracias to AGB for the pictures. Mr. Edward Lee celebrated his 21st birthday on the 4th of July and he probably had the dankest bday parto i’ve been to in a while. All the homies came out to some ice rink in Aliso and we played some broom hockey. There was blood, sweat, and tears, and some heat but it was a great time overall. Heres some footage I took of the PRE-GAME PART on my digi cam. Things have been off the hook here at the Triple Six Clubhouse, and a few weekends ago Jfru, Sun, and Dj Kluse made an appearance. I did eventually turn my camera on at some points and this is WHAT I GOT. I think the basketball players were scared of Alex. Now some information on the remaining irvine-sucks shirts: There are 9 glow in the dark shirts left, 5 small & 4 medium (sorry out of larges). There are 11 skulls & crossbeers shirts (controversial I know) left (4 small, 5 medium, 2 large). so it’s pretty much first come first serve. the small shirts fit girls better so cruise it if you’re a feminina or some hesh kid. EMAIL ME if you want to buy one and I’ll mail it out to you but you have to pay for shipping. Shirts are 10 bucks as usual. I’ll also be in Irvine within the next week so if you see me in person just ask to buy one. I’m pretty sure this is the last batch of sucks shirts i’ll be making so buy one now. Dang this is getting to be a long post. For enders, I’m going to spit out some facts that you may or may not already know:

-The voice in the beginning of the final ramp jamp vid part1 was me when I was messing around with voices to use at the end of the tshirt commercial vid. The impersonated voice was of my buddy and sucks fan, MAT X CORE.

-John Choi is in Korea now and will be moving to New York later in August for school... OH COME ON!

-The new Batman movie was sick... 2 face reminded me of Mars Attacks though

-TP’s skate video is premiering sometime in August... let me know whens the acual date

-Skatin Steve still doesn’t give a god damn

-Skippy’s next video is called “Killer Tofu”

-Funk is coming back

Anyways i just wanted to make an announcement that the new sucks shirts are in and are for sale. I’m going to be selling them at Skippy’s Friend Section premiere this friday around 5 and on before the vid starts, i’ll be somewhere in the parking lot so just go out and find me. karkool almost out of school here. This week is finals week for most of us so its been difficult to get some god damn skateboarding done. Our roommate steven simpson made this short film for the final for his class called THE CURSE OF THE 666. basicly the roommates are all sinners and evil eddie comes to tell them that theyre about to die so he gives them the chance to do their favorite activities before they die but they wake up and its all i dream... i think. Last weekend was pretty weird with day partos and weirdos and whatnot. but atleast now i’ve got more LOVEJUG4. Pretty scandalous.

Brion Baer is graduating from Berkeley. I’m going back to Irvine in a couple days to make more shirts and fix my camera and other shit so it looks like it’s going to be a fun summer. As for the cover phot with jonny and that girl, i know ive seen that face before... oh yeah thats right, the good old ONE EYE. just thought i’d throw that out there. and oh yes, the GM will make its way to irvine...

Seeing as nick is gonna make some copies of Bonestorm soon i decided to write up a little description of what i think about each part. The intro is dope. Nick P comes in with first part and I'm gonna have to say its my third favorite part. The girth on the beard is a bit much at times but I'm gonna have to say he has my fav trick in the video (the manual down the bank at UCI). I'm personally really stoked on Nick for this part. Karkool back to school here. First of all I want to set the record straight, the site has not been shut down by the irvine company (obviously), and has not been bought out by any porno companies. I’m sorry if you’ve believed these false rumors for this long, come on. Anywho I just got back to SF a few days ago and it was a lot of fun skating with everybody and seeing old friends. The weekend before last we went skating around LA, heres some shit that went down. John Choi got a buttery trick on that sewer gap thing, but my shitty ass old camera flicked it up... i’ll post that next time. Speaking of the Knuckle Up King, he decided over spring break that it was time to invest in a bicycle for those nights when its not cool to “roll them dice”.

Skippy contributed some of his throwaway stuff to the sucks that he’s filmed over the last year. Here’s some clips of Abo, Paul, and Gonzo skating HSP. I’ve done my research and Gonzo has nothing to do with this guy or with this album. Look out for more footage from these dudes in the future.

So i’ve been nauseatingly disappointed in this site in recent months. Not only are the posts sporadic and dull at times, but the direction this site is heading in has me queasy and wondering where the direction of skateboarding is going. I am appalled when I look at the youth of the skateboard nation and see them getting tattoos and smoking their narcotics such as cigarets, weed and the crack cocaine. Who are we to set that example? This is not to mention there fatty airs and the occasional abuse of under age drinking. Your gonna die soon if you keep this lifestyle up. Scum-bags. Go to college and get a 9-5 job fags. On a more serious note, i miss you Aman and you should come to SLO. One more thing, shrooms are chill, just shrooms though.

Mykool and Noah came to visit us last weekend, and Mr. Kool himself celebrated his 19th birthday. Unfortunately Mykool and his dankest nugs distracted me from getting any skating done, but he did bomb steven’s hill 3 times in one day. Pretty much for the last 4 days we’ve just been playing frolf and we got filmed playing by some french tv show dudes. so if you live in France, I suggest you keep your eye out for us on the television. The interview they had us do was pretty sick, hopefully I can find that clip in the future. More Shirts Optional teasers? I think so. I got a strange feeling that more weird wild stuff is going down for the sucks in the next couple months. The execs got back to me from Paramount and they decided that the role of AGB will be played by Diddy, and the role of the Knuckle Up King will be played by Leonardo Nam (the guy from the Perfect Score). I’ll be back in Irvine this weekend so hopefully i gots footy for the next time around. School’s a bust for me as well right now, just go play frolf.

So yesterday a miracle occured at the Triple Six Clubhouse... my vx started working again. The tape in it had some random shit on it including some lost clips from the Indian Creek Camping Trip, Brion Beer warmup footy, and other mess around shit at this cutty ledge by my old house. Did you know Mykool attempted Ruby's rail once?

Before I met Abo and Damion who introduced me to everyone else, I used to skate and film with this kid from my neighborhood, Nik Abele. Those reading this that attend Irvine High probably know who he is because apparently he’s now the star football player on their team. This kid has always been a big son of a bitch and always took slams. Here’s some old clips of him getting bucked at the age of 13. Too bad he doesn’t still skate as much as he used to.

This is a little bit late but THE CHUNNEL BOMB premiered about 2 years ago at el casa de krunko. It was a really fun night, there was a fatty turnout and mike sun was snortin’ del scorcho.

The new American Gladiators is comin’ up. Good ol’ Chad Knight was recently on it... but he lost the competition. First they brought in the Hulk and now theres pro skaters as competitors? thats a tell.

I found this OG flyer for second nature on my old computer... good times good times. This would have been Nicky P’s friend trick in sac lunch. whatever ill still end up making it someday. Me and Alex have finals this week and we both had to make mini movies as our final projects for our class. Here’s Alex’s project for his fables and tales class... Chunnel Bomb Productions Presents: KARKOOL IN HEAVEN. I hope he gets an A on it, I didn’t embarrase myself dancing in the streets for nothing. Fuck that Fangle.

Next is my short movie titled, THE COOKIE. This was for my editing class and had to shoot a 2min short about anything but the main character couldn’t have any dialogue. simple simple simple.

I don’t know how long I’m going to stay in Irvine this break but I’m down to start making more sucks shirts, maybe even a few new designs. ABO told me he’s got some ideas for the new shirts, and I’d like to see other’s ideas. So if you have nothing to do, fuck around on photoshop or something and send me your design, email it to me. Word on the street is that its the one year anniversary of THE MAGIC SKATEBOARD. For those of you that are new to the site or just haven’t scoped it out, its a short film I made for my film class last year. Heres some interesting tidbits that you probably don’t give a shit about:
1. filmed in 2 days and 3 hrs of editing
2. nobody would follow the script so most of it was improvised
3. mykool had more lines in the beginning but he was too stoned to remember his lines
4. A lot of it filmed infront of Barker’s house
5. it wasnt a fresh cigarette, it was actually lit 3 times before the take was right
6. budget= $0
7. the guy that played the bully is now in jail
8. the last line in the movie was supposed to be, “oh magic skateboard how i love you!” but max thought it sounded dumb and i realized he was right.
9. i got an “A” on it giddyup

To celebrate the anniversary, i took the boys out to a strip club while barker was fakie flizzin out of everything with some john choi to back him up. oh yeah we ran into jose rojo and caswell berry at that spot, they were probably too shy to talk walk up to us. i wonder who actually reads my garbage... someone tell me when the next chic fila grand opening is going to be and ill give them a sucks shirt. On the OCC campus, from now till the first week of next semester in the Art Center building, inside of the student gallery space, I have a lot of work on display. The show is called Full Pads Required. The work deals with growing up as a skateboarder with all of my friends, the birth of skate stoppers, and the advent of city funded public skate parks in Orange County. I'm going to have some sort of a closing reception in January, and I'll post the specifics at a later date. I've been working on the body of work for roughly two years now, and sixty some odd pieces are included in the installation.Email me for more info and directions, if that sounds interesting to you.

I agree with everything nickyp said about skateboarding and the media garbage. Epicly Laterd is too sweet to be on something so weak as MTV2. Atleast VH1 has I Love New York and Rock of Love, in the words of john choi doing an eric dowling impression, “COME ON!” Not a lot of people know this but the sucks is getting in the media biz too. From recent boost in sucks popularity through magazine blurbs and t shirts, Paramount has asked us for permission to make a movie about this site and the history of how it started. Details are sketchy at this point for the casting for this movie cause oddly enough we can’t play ourselves. All we know so far is that the role of Nick P the Webmaster will be played by Ron Jeremy.

Since i moved to sf, ive noticed the big differences between the skateshops here and the ones in so-cal. I’m pretty much just going to explain how much FTC and DLX are better than active irvine. I understand that a lot of the homies are sponsored by wactive but if I was getting free shit all the time I wouldn’t mind. First of all whenever i’ve walked into active to go with a friend im always greeted by some dumb girl trying to show off her floppy tits or some bro douche with a lame fohawk. But sometimes they just give me evil looks or crack a lame irvine-sucks joke, which im more down for. Atleast that new Relic shop in irvine divided the girl clothes from the skate stuff in 2 different rooms. and why would u keep a girl behind the counter of the skate decks that doesnt know anything about shit and then grabs another bro to help u and when u tell him u can grip your board yourself he gets all butt-hurt.

FTC and DLX, simple simple simple, you walk in and realize that everyone that works there actually skateboards and knows what theyre talking about. They have also hooked it up for me fatter than active ever did when i was a youngen. They have local videos playing all the time with kids just chillen at the store watching them. I heard Active Tustin used to play John Choi’s sponsor video on loop in the store which is really funny. All in all bros and dumb girls should stay out of skateshops, if i wanted to to deal with bros and dumb girls I would go to one of those GLAM parties.

It seems that Irvine spots have been blowing up recently. Check out this clip of Antwuan and Furby at the foundation spot.

I got around to watching "Life of Ryan" on the MTV web site a few days ago, and yeah, how much more bangin' is his dads new girl? But seriously, I don't think I'm going to be able to even enjoy a good laugh out of that show unless substance is involved. TP yo TP... its TP here and this documentary is about one of my many mini ramp seshions at mr Alex Bizzarkers house... He lives in Frisco obviously and is nice enough to let me kick it with his dad and skate the Bizzarkeramp when ever i want.. In the particular documentary I called the barker house to see if i could cruse, his sister answered the phone and told me to bring over some beers.. me being the over achevier that i am decided to bring over an assorted 18 back of half budwiser and half budlight.... All you need to do is bring over alcohal and the barker ramp is ready to be torn up.. i also did a montage of me doign tricks with beers in my hands but the got left on the kitchen room floor.. I do have an idea for the third box though. We went to burbank hubba last weekend and i brought my cyber-shot digicam. For as long as this site has been up the third box has always been a mess. Noah Spindler didn't post enough and Noah Krom didn't really have anything to do with skateboarding at all. Now the box has been left open for anyone to write in it and this might be the worst idea yet. Personally the only thing I can offer to the site is the mocking of Irvine-sucks riders and talk about alcohol among other narcotics. I'll try to make my posts somewhat meaningful. Tony Silva is dope. Ok ya its a shitty post but its just to keep the third box somewhat going.

So when both Noah's were given the ax and Irvine-sucks needed a new representative to hold down the third box, whom else would they have picked other than the Moss Man. It's pretty much bullshit that they needed me to take Kroms place seen as I pretty much am Irvine-sucks. I mean without my colossal amounts of skill on a skateboard and the ravishing looks of Jonny Friar, I don't see how this site would be possible: well no, Nick and Rich help a little too. Since I do my talking through skateboarding ill finish with a few pictures of Mike Sun.

Bombkrom started and finished his posts with the saying out with the old and in with the new. Well the way I see it, he should have said out with the Krom and in with the Fru.
